Our first hike with the girls

After Alex's scouting awards we packed up Elisabeth and Anna on our backs and headed out (Natalie wasn't feeling well). They seemed to enjoy it, until it started raining. It was nice to get to take them to do something we enjoy so much.

It started raining and Elisabeth got too heavy for me to move too fast. So Chris took her on, too.

Anna did not like the rain!

They love this tunnel!

They are really starting to play together more

Elisabeth is walking more, but the other two are just taking a few steps here and there

Here is a fun video of the girls at bath time. They are a handful!

Want to post more pics and will try to soon. Girls just battled another round of colds and now Anna has bronchiolitis (baby bronchitis) and we are having to give her breathing treatments, etc.. So far the other girls don't have it. We are officially no longer dropping the girls off in the nursery at church!! It sounds nice to go as a family, but they get colds every time they go- which usually turn into ear infections- although this time we got bronchitis instead. Oh well... hopefully when they are older they can handle it better!
Will post more soon...

Fun at the Snow home

Here's some shots from our lives lately

This picture still makes me laugh so hard. Anna is such a good sport.

Hi mom!

Wait- I'm missing something!

Here are the results of the girls trying to feed themselves with a spoon, and then just having fun with their food:

Elisabeth

Anna using Maggie as a way to climb onto the couch

Elisabeth harassing her sleeping sister and thinking it is the greatest thing ever

Watching Daddy grill

These girls LOVE their daddy

I got to go on Alex' field trip to the farm so that was so much fun!

Alex's class

Please pray for Alex as his school has decided to have him repeat first grade. Although he has made amazing progress he is, understandably, still pretty behind his classmates. We support the decision as school moves so fast he really won't ever have a chance to catch up. We all really think this will give him the best chance at success in school. He is disappointed about it, though. Please pray for him that he won't be discouraged by it and that it truly will be the best thing for him. Thanks!

1 year check up

Took the girls for their one year check-up yesterday, and other than all the shots, it went quite well!

Anna: 23lbs, 4 oz, 30" tall 75-90%
Natalie: 21 lbs, 28 3/4" tall 50%
Elisabeth: 21 lbs, 29 1/2" tall 50%

As you can see they are continuing to be great eaters- still have found very little they don't like. They love, love, love finger foods and feeding themselves, although it means a BIG mess for Mommy after. They have transitioned well to whole milk which is great (less expensive!).

They are developmentally pretty on target. Only Elisabeth is cruising (walking while holding onto things) at this point so the other two are a little behind on that. They are waving bye-bye, rolling balls, picking up things with their finger and thumb (every little tiny thing they find), playing peek-a-boo, chewing well (they all have 4-6 teeth) and saying/repeating a few words. None are standing on their own yet, although Elisabeth is trying.

Most of all they laugh easily and are the happiest and funnest babies ever (I am a little biased)!

Pictures from the girls' birthday party
They had so much fun and really went at the cake. Once again I can not post any writing by the picture.. I'll try to figure it out soon.
We can't believe they are already one. The year has flown by! They are so busy- crawling everywhere and already hard to keep up with. Elisabeth is cruising, but the others aren't trying to walk yet. I'm in no hurry, though, for them to walk. We have so much fun! Everyone always comments on how much work they must be, and although they certainly keep us busy- they are such a blessing. I love every minute of it!

We can't believe our little blessings are turning one today!

Anna, you have really developed such a personality. You love to laugh- even when you are all by yourself- and your laugh is the best thing to my ears. You love to watch everything and have so much to say. We love you and have so much fun with you!
Natalie, you are still so sweet and easy to be with. You are quick to smile and laugh. You have developed a little bit of an attitude- I think you realized you had enough of being a pushover between your sisters! You love your big brother and he thinks the world of you. We love you so much!
Elisabeth, you have been the go-getter and our little fighter from the beginning. You were not going to let being the smallest slow you down any. You are always on the move and interested in the next thing. It is so fun to see what you will be up to next! We love you!

I'm still having problems with the blog and can't post any writing by the pictures. The first are all Anna; then Natalie; then Elisabeth!
